The month of November is here. As the Queen’s Baton Relay for the 2010 Commonwealth Games gets underway, the country wears a sportive look with minute by minute preparations for the main event to be held next year in the host city of Delhi.
The curtain to the Commonwealth Games is set to be lifted later this month with the Queen’s Baton Relay, which will be held at a grand cultural ceremony in Great Britain. This event is one of the great traditions of the game and involves the Queen of Britain handing over a specially designed baton to the first honorary relay runner. Today is Guru Nanak Jayanti as well, This three day celebration marks the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Guru of the Sikhs. This festival is important to all Muslims and It is celebrated all over India and great feasts are prepared in the honor of the Prophet.
Apart from all the holly festivals, the month of November is most important for me as my wedding is on the 4th of Nov.
